5 Classic Rum Cocktails 

When it comes to alcohol, everybody likes  drinks with rum . The spirit is choicely sweet, lightly spiced, and generally low cost . In fact, rum’s sweet and spicy balance makes it a perfect base for classic  cocktails. An array of fruits, juices, and liqueurs play beautifully off rum’s many-sided profile. Many of our favorite cocktails begin with our lovely  distilled sugarcane. Start with these Five  classic rum drinks that everyone should know how to make.

Daiquiri

The Daiquiri is the first rum drink . Three basic ingredients : rum, lime juice, and simple syrup. delicate combination  of rum’s sweetness with the freshness of sugar and lime juice. 









Ingredients


60 ml  light rum
30 ml fresh lime juice
25 ml demerara sugar syrup 
Garnish: lime twist
Method - Shaken 
Glassware - Cocktail glass (coupe Glass)
Served - Without Ice 
  • Steps

Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice, and shake until well cooled.
    1. Strain into a chilled coupe.
    2. Garnish with a lime twist.


 Mojito 

The mojito  is one of the best refreshing cocktails you'll have the pleasure of drinking. It's another easy drink that needs only a few ingredients: rum, mint, lime, sugar, and soda.Cuba is undoubtedly the homeland of Mojito. 
African mojo known a ‘little spell.’
Cuban-style combination with rums from Puerto Rico ,Jamaica and Barbados .  









Ingredients

60 ml White rum
5  Mint leaves
20 ml  Fresh lime juice
15 ml Simple syrup
Club soda, to top
Garnish - Mint sprigs & Lime wheel 
Glassware - Highball glass 
Method - Muddle
Served - With Ice 






Steps


  • Lightly muddle the mint in a highball glass .
  • Add the rum, lime juice, simple syrup and ice .
  • A highball glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with the club soda.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel.



Pina colada 

A Pina colada this  tropical drinks  in a glass includes light rum, pineapple juice, and coconut cream 









Ingredients


  •  60 ml Light rum
  • 30 ml  Cream of coconut
  • 60 ml  Pineapple juice
  • 6 pcs Fresh pineapple (cube)
  • Garnish: Pineapple wedge & pineapple leaf
  • Glassware - Hurricane glass 
  • Method - Blending  
  • Served - less Ice 
  • Steps

    1. Add all ingredients into a Blending with ice and Blend  (20-60 seconds).
    2. Strain into a chilled Hurricane glass .
    3. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and pineapple leaf.


Cuba Libre 


The Cuba Libre was invented at the Tampa Bay Hotel among the Rough Riders under the command of T. Roosevelt awaiting transport to Cuba. Coca-Cola had just become quite popular and avialble in bottles and the bartender came up with the recipe much as you relate. It is said that the soldiers lifted their glass and toasted "Cuba Libra" and so the drink was named.






Ingredients

60 ml  rum
Top with  Coca-Cola
3 pcs lime wedges (squeeze ) 
Garnish: lime wedge
Method : Build up 
Served : With ice cube 
Glassware : Highball glass


  • Steps
Add all the ingredients to a highball glass filled with ice.




  1. Garnish with a lime wedge.
  2.                                                  Mai Tai

  3. The Mai Tai is the very well known Tiki cocktail . A proper Mai Tai is a deep amber color  and put the rum to shine through with the other ingredients.

  5. 45 ml white rum 
  6. 6o ml  Orange juice 
  7. 15 ml Fresh lime juice
  8. 15 ml  Orgeat syrup 
  9. 15 ml  Dark rum
  10. Garnish: orange  wheel  & mint springs 
  11. Glassware : old fashion 
  12. Method :  shaken 
  13. Served : crushed  ice 


  14. Note : orange curacao add but Orange Curacao  is not available everywhere, so you can use orange juice instead.

    • Steps


  15. Add the white rum, orange juice , juice and orgeat into a shaker with crushed ice and shaken lightly  ( mostly  5 seconds).
  16. Pour into a Old Fashioned glass.
    Float the dark rum over topping .
    Garnish with a Orange  wheel and mint sprig.
